The Clairol Company was founded in 1931; and this was one of their very early products from the 1930's. It is made of a red bakelite with a pretty cream colored cameo with an eye on the front of the compact; and it is hallmarked on the back "CLAIROL, Made In USA, Trade Marker, Touch Up Crayon". This beautiful sterling silver 1930's carved shell cameo filigree pendant necklace and brooch or pin is in wonderful condition

with no teeth missing

and works flawlessly

There is an approximate dime size or smaller area of wear to the silver plating on the top of the box

and is in very good condition
